Welcome to Sioux Empire On Tap in Sioux Falls, the ultimate beer fest where the party never stops and the brews flow like a river!
Don't want to read about it? Watch the video below instead.
But if you do like reading, I guess I can try to explain how crazy this beer fest is.
First off, picture strolling into this massive arena and spotting thousands of people sipping and savoring beers from over 100 breweries. That's Sioux Empire On Tap for you.
It's one of the Midwest's biggest craft beer festivals, drawing people from all corners to check out the scene. Let me tell you, the outfits these people wear are wild. We're talking beer goggles, beer socks, beer caps—pretty much anything with beer on it. And let's not forget about Beer Guy; check out the video, we snagged an interview with him (he's the happiest dude around).
As for the brews at Sioux Empire On Tap? Well, they've got it all. Stouts, IPAs, Sours, Brown Ales, Ciders, Seltzers, even energy drinks.
But the absolute craziest concoction came from Jefferson Beer Supplies out of Jefferson, SD. They were dishing out an Orange Chicken Sour Ale. I've tried Oreo stouts that kinda taste like Oreos, and Pumpkin Pie porters that sorta taste like pumpkin pies, but this Orange Chicken Sour Ale? It tasted exactly like... Orange Chicken. Mind-blowing stuff.
As for other top picks: Severance Brewing Co.'s Coffee beer, Eponymous's Skittle sours, Remedy's classic Queen Beer, Ben's Brewing Pomegranate Lime Sour (oof so good), Lupulin's Sticky Puddles Peach Cobbler, Take 16's Kick the Can IPA, and a ton of other beers I know are good but just can't remember!
For the full list of breweries, check out the Sioux Empire On Tap website.
If you've never been to Sioux Empire On Tap or any Beer Fest, you're missing out. Find your local event and go check it out; you won't regret it.
Make sure to check out the video above to watch our interviews & beer sampling at this year's event. Apologies in advance for my dumb friends...
Cheers!
